Anne Rice lost me on this one. In my opinion, it had very little to do with vampires. It really focused on Lestat's quest for religious knowledge or understanding. It just did not work for me.
My favorite Anne Rice book. Kind of abandoned her not long after this one, but I still pick it up and read it randomly. Great book, interesting take on heaven and hell.
