  On re-reading I still enjoyed the mix of maneuvering and madcap comedy. But it's not as fun, as the second time around you can see how the author forces the characters to take perspectives that don't fit what THEY have experienced. It smacks of Mary Sue-ing and Gary Stew-ing.
