    • Easy to read, thrilling and ful of strong women, all I like for a summer reading.
It is not a 4 stars only because I don't I managed to guess the murderer too quickly :)

    • The story was OK but all of the characters and their relationships felt very fake. It's quick and easy reading though so I'll probably end up reading more in the series eventually.

    • My Thoughts
    • I really enjoyed this novel, it did leave me confused a bit from time to time, but it's not hard to catch on. During this whole novel I guessed the murder wrong three times, so best be on your toes future readers of this novel.

There was a real killer in this novel for me, that's why I gave it three stars instead of four. `SPOILER` The fact Chris dies in the end totally just blew me away! I really would have liked it more if Patterson would have given him a much larger role in the series than he played. `END OF SPOILER`
In all, a fantastic book, but beware there are some sexually explicit things in this novel.

    • Great book
    • I really liked this first book in the Womens Murder club series, very sad they took it off the air. I will be getting more in this series very soon. I recommend this book to everyone who loves James Patterson and a good mystery.

This was my first time reading anything by Patterson. I have to admit that I'm hooked. It was a fairly decent story. There were things that made me groan and I did figure things out. However, there were a few surprises thrown in there. It was somewhat difficult for me to get over comparing his novel to how things really work in the criminal justice system. That is just something I always have problems with though. I really don't think that a cop would ever make friends with a reporter like that. When I worked for the P.D. I was sick to death of the press. I do like the idea and it makes great fiction. I thought the story was really interesting and I was captivated the whole time. The ending was a bit predictable, but on the whole not bad. All in all, not a bad read. I will definitely continue on with the series.
