Book Description
A hard-boiled futuristic novel, NEUROMANCER uses as its stage the boundless range of modern cyberspace. The author's hero, Case, is a cyberspy, the best in the business. But he plays his games close to the edge and double-crosses the wrong people.
Banished from cyberspace and restricted to life in the physical world, Case hits the skids. But his luck turns when he gets another chance. To take it may cost him his life.
William Gibson is a guru of science fiction in the computer age, and NEUROMANCER is his "cyberpunk" masterpiece.
"Freshly imagined, compellingly detailed and chilling." (The New York Times)

Was hoping to like it, but just couldn't get into it.
While perhaps not the best cyberpunk or science fiction novel, it is definitely a quintessential example of cyberpunk's beginnings, fully embodying the qualities of the genre. Hip, tech-savvy, and positively bad ass, this work shows Gibson at the top of his game.
