Imagine that when you are 6 years old, you meet a man that comes from nowhere and you find out that he comes from the future because he is a time traveller. Would you offer to help him?
This story is about a woman who knew her future husband since she was a child. He time travelled but it was out of his control. She accepted him as part of her life. Each time he left, all she could do was to hope that he would come back to her.
In spite of a slightly confusing beginning, it is a good bittersweet love story.

I like the downplay of the futuristic scenes and the clinical explanation for human time traveling, making the plot more realistic altogether. An anomaly of all the time traveling books I have read. I like the downplay of the futuristic scenes and the clinical explanation for human time traveling, making the plot more realistic altogether. An anomaly of all the time traveling books I have read. The theme tone of the book, I think, is love and the inevitable sorrow intertwined with love. The ingenious writing reminds me one of my favorite movies "eternal sunshine of the spotless mind".

I was SO disappointed with this book. *sigh* I must be a very linear person to have struggled with all that timezone jumping around. And also to have him in the same timezone with himself is just way confusing. But my main issue with this book is the purpose - I mean, what's it all about? Where is it going? What is the journey? Things improved slightly when the daughter was born but I found it lacked purpose and meaning. Can't wait to see what they do with the movie.

Was amazing once finished but drug on at points. I can't believe they didn't include the Ingrid storyline in the movie!?
