Haruki Murakami is my favorite author. I was lucky enough to stumble upon Norwegian Wood when I was living in Japan in 2003. From this book on I was hooked. I have read all of Murakmi's books and am always waiting for a new release. I have yet to be dissapointed by any of his books. Norwegian Wood will always hold a special place in my heart since it's the first book I read by Murakami and it's probably my favorite of all his books.
It’s just an old fashioned love story: Boy meets best friend’s girlfriend. Best friend commits suicide. Boy and girl fall in love under the specter of best friend’s death. Girl goes insane.
One of my favorites!
