Grace is fascinated by the wolves in the woods behind her house; one yellow-eyed wolf in particular. Every winter, she watches him but every summer, he disappears. Sam leads two lives. In winter, he stays in the frozen woods, with the protection of the pack. In summer, he has a few precious months to be human ...until the cold makes him shift back again. When Grace and Sam finally meet they realize they can't bear to be apart. But as winter nears, Sam must fight to stay human - or risk losing himself, and Grace, for ever.

  • Beware infected with Twilightism...

At first I thought this was going to be another Twilight copycat, what with the werewolves and all but its okay. At times I felt that it was a badly written version of Twilight sure, but if you give it a chance there is a nice story there.

I do like the narrative style with one chapter from Grace and the next from Sam. That style has always appealed to me in a book. Aside from that the wolves are described fantastically and you really get the feel for the woods and the surrounding area. Some parts are cringeworthy in their cliche's but it's hard to write a romance these days without a werewolf popping up somewhere isn't it?!

No really if you enjoyed Twilight you'll like this. If you disliked Twilight avoid this like the plague.

Though this book is good, it definitely isn't great and is lacking something in substance, especially with the plot which seems very similar the whole way through.
I also wanted to see more from two characters the mum( as I thought she brought a good perspective to the story as she appears to see things in a different wag to every one else) and Shelby who I was expecting to play a bigger role in the plot with some evio Victoria from twilight-esque plans.
Though it has many points I personally dislike I do suggest a read, but only if you like this kind of story.

It took me a while to get a lot of parts. Although it did have some good deep sentences, I thought it was just a bad werewolf love book. This was upsetting because reviews about this book were "It's not like just any other werewolf book" but it is. Only bad. I wouldn't give this book to anyone.
