The Hollow During the same week that I read Nora Roberts' The Hollow, I happened to be listening to Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows while at work and listening to J.D. Robb's (Roberts's alter ego) Survivor in Death while working in my home offic ... (read full critics)

I can't believe I like these silly trilogies by Nora Roberts. I like the supernatural aspect of this series.

  • This is a trilogy. So, if I don't read all three, I wouldn't know the end! Well, it will be a happy ending of course. Still...
It will be hard to make three stories to be different. But Layla is very different from Quinn.

I actually liked this one a bit more than the Blood Brothers. First: I think that this one focused a bit more on the characters and a bit less on the horror - which was a plus for me, but might not be the case for everyone. And second: I think I related just a bit better to the couple in this book. Each of the three books in the series is pretty obviously going to focus primarily on one couple and their developing relationship - this one on Fax and Layla. Of the three women, I think I understand Layla the best. It's still not going to rank as my favorite Nora Roberts, but I enjoyed this one, and will definitely finish up the trilogy.
