  It's "full": full of action and adventure, of plots, people and misfortune.

  I totally adored the previous "The Lies of Locke Lamora", and I find impossible not to compare the books: this one is perhaps less astonishing, it seems more "laboured", it lacks something (or someone, or some place).
  This is just in comparison, I think, because I laughed anyway, and scowled and wept and gaped an awful lot, and this is still the most ABSOLUTELY ENTERTAINING book I read this year.
  Mind you, I love swashbuckling things.

  much worse than the previous book in the series. although it has its good moments, i really prefer my fantasy books to be more engrossing, so that i won't have a chance to remember feeling guilty about reading a fantasy book, again...

  Fantastic Sequel

  An awesome book where Locke Lamora works like crazy to get himself out of the frying pan only to find himself smack dab in the middle of the fire--wearing an oil-soaked suit.

  A page turner as we try to find out how our wily thief and his tough friend Jean will get themselves out of this mess!
