  detto questo non e' un grande scrittore ed ha una prosa un po' liturgica (ma te ne accorgi al secondo libro).

  Marias is an intelligent, clever, incredibly ironic and funny guy no doubt about it. That said he's not that much of a writer. His writing tend to be lithurgical (but you will notice that reading a second book, third one probably will not be worthy at all). He did write an incredibly acute article on the psychology of Silvio Berlusconi and here's the link
