When Percy Jackson receives an urgent distress call from his friend Grover, he immediately prepares for battle. He knows he'll need his powerful demigods allies, Annabeth and Thalia, at his side; his trusty bronze sword, Riptide; and... a ride from his mom.

The demigods race to the rescue, to find that Grover has made an important discovery: two new powerful half-bloods whose parentage is unknown. But that's not all that awaits them. The Titan lord, Kronos, has set up his most devious trap yet, and the young heroes have just fallen prey. Percy faces with his most dangerous challenge so far: the chilling prophecy of the Titan's curse.

  • Percy Jackson and the Olympians, The Titan's Curse

As good as all the other. I loved it. I enjoyed the prophecy, the usual twist in the end like all the other books... This was really good.

My favorite one of the whole series until now. Factors from Greek mythology are used well in book three as the first two books. Although it kept reminding me the Harry Potter series, the reason for which I don't know, and it was difficult not to compare Percy, Annebeth and Grover with Harry, Hermione and Ron while reading, it is still an excellent story in which showed the value of friendship, courage and loyalty.

  • The Titan's Curse

In this book, we can meet a lot more different characters, like the Hunters and two more powerful half-bloods. On the other hand, we seldom see Annabeth in this book. (well...I like her less and less because of her feelings for Luke...) Instead, we have Zoe and Thalia here.

I do love Zoe's tragic story. She is such a combination of toughness and tenderness, and her wound from the past has a great impact on her rejection against men. Her loyalty and bravery leaves attractive impressions on readers.

We finally get to know Thalia more in this book. Though being Zeus's daughter, she is afraid of height. It's humanity that makes us bow down to our desire, and even a heroine like Thalia is no exception. But, she did conquer it and finally prevent herself become the one in the prophecy. (I think that what she becomes at the end of the story suits her very well.)

As for the most dangerous flaw of Percy... Hmmm... I guess it's the common flaw almost every hero has!

This is probably the fastest paced book of the series to date. Definitely recommended, although if you're new to Percy Jackson, I'd say begin at the beginning.
