La scrittura che malattia!

Scrivere è effettivamente una malattia. Questo non è che uno dei tanti libri che ho raccolto in tutti questi anni. Non solo in italiano ma anche in inglese. Del resto il male di scrivere è universale e si manifesta in tutte le lingue conosciute.

How would you like to be spitting out novels as good as and fast as Stephen King?
Even if you don't have ambitions to become a best selling author yourself, you can learn a lot from Stephen King's book "On Writing".
First of all, if you are curious about how Stephen King comes up with his story, you can hear it from his own mouth, so to speak, because he reveals everything in this book about the craft.
Second, if you need inspiration to get started writing, you have certainly come to the right place. I have read "On Writing" not one time, but several times already, and I learn more and more each time.
This book is pure gold. See for example this:
"When you write a story, you're telling yourself the story. When you rewrite, your main job is taking out all of the things that are not the story."
Does that sound easy?
It does, but that short paragraph itself tells you several things:
1. You have to write your story as fast as possible without editing.
2. You have to rewrite your story. This time you do some editing.
First half of the book tells the story of Stephen King's life in his own words. Second half is about writing. And in the end of the book, you also learn about the accident that nearly killed Stephen King, and how he got back to life again.
If you do any writing at all, this is definitely a book you should get, read, and use.
