Oggi sono in vena di romanticismi e voglio riririringraziare questa saga, che ha accompagnato l'infanzia e l'adolescenza di mezzo mondo.

I saw the movie, so, maybe, it influenced me. I liked it so much that I expected the book to be as majestic as movie's "scenery". But I found the book not very detailed in its descriptions; I'm especially referring to the settings, not to the characters. I mean... It could have been a "great" book, but J. K. Rowling focuses her attention on "a story for the children", which is good, but she leaves out details and dwell upon others.... omitting to "create" the world the characters are in, so that we don't see it in all its "majesty". Maybe it's beacause I compare this children story to other ones I read and prefered, as "Die unendliche Geschichte" by Michael Ende (I don't know the english title, maybe "The never ending story"; in italian "La storia infinita"), that is a fantasy story, simple, etc...., but it is also a "fine writing". J. K. Rowling seems to me not very persuasive in her style, even if this story is pleasant both for children and adult. I liked when Harry went to Diagon Alley with Hagrid, to buy his magic instruments (above all, the choice of magic wands, in all kinds of wood); then, I appreciate the pleasant atmosphere of the school, I'm intrigued by the lessons and by the imagination of the author (the character I prefer is Hermione), yet... I'm sure the "writer" could write better and be less tied up with "cliché". Maybe in the next volumes. Anyway... I like it, it makes me want to be a wizard, escape from my life and follow magic courses!
