Can't believe it has sold more than 35 million copies worldwide. Sometimes it is even boring.

The Author tries to teach a lesson about life

During the reading I constantly had the feeling I was reading some sort of bible story. The main character in the book is on a journey to find his ultimate treasure.. During this journey he discovers some wisedoms about life.
Seems that the writer wanted to teach the reader about life, omens en persistence to reach your goals in life.

  • Although the book does appear at times to be a shallow, simplistic narrative that repeats lessons we have already heard, and at other times an advertisement for the Bible, it can be a touching fable when read with an open mind and heart.

When I started to read this book, I was feel frustrated by reading the book of English version and constantly had a feeling I was reading some sort of bible story. Because it really mention too much fantasy thoughts and unable to understand what truly is the writer wanted to tell us. However , with decreasing the pages of this book I read , my thought was changing.

I think a story about journey of a shepherd boy, which is not totally interesting, but the most importantly the story brings for me is a positive attitude which living one's own life. Sometime, we are afraid of to achieve our dream because of knowing little about future. But ,this book gave me a powful encourages . it’s seem want to tell us if you can take a look around your living , the treasury already near you.
I especially like the end of part, when the leader of refugee told the boy that he already dreamed the same thing before, but the leader thought it’s a stupid to accomplish the dream. This part let me understand one thing. Although we have some destiny in our life, if we can’t achieve it and we ignore it, then the chance will fade away. Your place will displace for the other one who believe he can do it and he is still willing to try it.
This book help me to look clear what I am work hard for. There is always unexpected help from the book that I will gain from.
