This is one powerful book. Although the artwork is simple, it tells a very dramatic story. This book reminds me of Maus. Satrapi uses the graphic novel format to tell a serious story. Satrapi shares her memoris ina unique way. I probably would not have picked up this book had it not been a graphic novel. I look forward to reading Persepolis 2.
