This book has a wonderfully imaginative premise and well crafted characters. Not as strong on either suspense or chills as I would have expected from reading the cover blurbs, but a story worth reading nonetheless.

Amanda Stevens led a group discussion about her book, THE DOLLMAKER, for the Suspense & Thrillers group at Shelfari.com and what a book it was. The story is centered in New Orleans, one of my most favorite cities in the world. Her love for the Big Easy shines through in her book.
For me, it was hard to put this book down and I couldn’t read it fast enough. Some members felt the book ended too abruptly. I can see it. I thought the whole thing was perfect. Hands down, this book gets a five star rating.
