I really enjoyed this story! It was told in the voice of Hobbie, a man who face is ravaged by acne. Hobbie and his girlfriend Kari, who is very overweight, have been together since Jr. High. Drawn together by the abuse they both suffered and by the way they are judged by their appearance, Hobbie and Kari have built a self-isolated life together. But the story is what happens to Hobbie when one day Kari decides to change her life and get out in the world. Sad, sweet, and satisfying, this is just a really good story.
