    A classic

Everyone should read this book, which is a great classic novel. There is great characterization, a plot full of twists, a good view of a woman's soul and I guarantee you will not regret reading it. Of course, women will love it more than men.

Jane Eyre is certainly one of the most famous and most beautiful books of the classic English Literature. I’ve read it in English (and that is why I’m also writing my usual review in English) and I was completely fascinated by it. It took me a while to read it, but it was definitely worth it!
This is the story of this girl –Jane Eyre- an orphan who is first raised by her uncle’s family and then in a college, she becomes teacher there but then feels the need to go away and have her own life in the outside world. That’s how she ends up as a governess in Thornfield, a beautiful and ancient house where she meets Mr Edward Rochester, who is the owner.

I won’t say anything more about the plot, because Jane Eyre is a novel that you have to read and discover little by little, just as you discover the characters’ personality. They aren’t clear or easy to understand at first, but then you read what they do, what they think, what they say, and you just fall in love with them.
Jane Eyre is a strong and independent woman, she’s honest, a hard-worker, she is nice and kind. Mr Rochester is just as strong, strange and dark at the beginning, but as you keep on reading you’ll discover he’s charming, fascinating.

Jane Eyre is a weird story, if you consider the historical background of the novel- which is the same of the author, and that’s probably why it is so peculiar, interesting and fascinating.
    You definitely must read it!
And… can I say that? I appreciate much much more Charlotte Bronte than her sister, Emily, who wrote Wuthering Heights. Read both of them, and then let me know.

All right, I hate this novel. And I don't know why I thought it be good when I was a elementary school student. Wuthering Height does deserve more respects than Jane Eyre does. Honestly speaking, wasting my time...

  • No Film Can Match Jane Eyre, the Book
