This book is a true story about how a Texan congressman, a Texan rich upper-class beauty, and a CIA agent, collaborated to end the cold war.
Although it is very well written, entertaining, and educational, at some point I got tired of the idea that some guy could use tax-payers' money to fulfill his personal heroic dream, and we still considered him as a hero. Perhaps I was born in an anti-war generation, so I could not understand the importance of helping Afghans fighting Russians (with our money!!!)
