I enjoyed this novel, Simmons here brings up several important points about life itself and its meaning and deals with this topics in a superb way.
Though, I'm not sure I've fully understood the final... X-D

I really failed to understand the reason behind certain episodes: the nymphomaniac with iron prosthesis who tries to cut the main character's penis with a bite??? Really? Why? What was the purpose of those 50 pages in the economy of the books? Are you freaking insane Mr. Simmons? I am not against violence in books. But violence needs to be functional to the story. Here it is just a big mess, an expose of the author's erotic violent dreams, put together with the a pathetic excuse of destiny and reality.

I would have really liked the underlying issue of this book (what is real?), but this was a very boring, ugly and sick book in the end.
