interesting premise. time travelers set out to save Socrates. i don't know a lot about philosophy, so I'm not sure if the representations of the philosophers were accurate, but they seemed fine. interesting premise. time travelers set out to save Socrates. i don't know a lot about philosophy, so I'm not sure if the representations of the philosophers were accurate, but they seemed fine. It felt stiff - many of the characters were very flat. And the representation of the one woman in the book was particularly one-dimensional .
But - it was interesting. the plot kept moving and all the pieces fell together in the end. I did finish it. And I don't regret reading it, so that's something.
