I have to admit that this is not a book I'd just decide to pick up if I saw it in a bookstore. It doesn't look like the type of book that would interest me. However, I am SO glad it was on my high school's summer reading list, and I am SO glad I decided to read it anyway. I originally started reading it thinking I would hate it, but I so totally loved it. However, I felt like I would have enjoyed the book more had I read more of the texts mentioned.
