Daniel Sempere is the son of the old-Sempere's son (in "El Juego Del Angel"). They still live of the books shop and the Books Cemetery gives the kick off to the story: when Daniel chooses his book, The Shadow Of The Wind, written by Julian Carax, he's suddenly involved but a strande man, faceless, named as the devil is named in the novel, tries and get the book.
It seems all the books written by Carax have been burst.
The novel takes place in Barcelona, middle XX century.
Daniel turns out to be in the middle of a complex plot among Fumero, Julian, Fermin, Beatrix..
    Gothic, mysteryous, beautiful.
