one of the most enjoyable of hamilton's books so far. Very full of adventures and emotions, also the story takes a very big step forward. i even thought it was going to be the last book of this saga but on Hamilton website she states that's not so, and i must say i'm glad about it.
I love the anita blake series very much but merry is under every aspects a better story. Better structured plot in every novel (maybe with the exception of mistral's kiss which is good but not perfect), more subsequent vicissitudes, better balance between the charecters, and last but not least to me merry is a much more pleasurable heroine than anita is most of the time.
again the men are all so good and interesting it's difficult to pick the favorite one, while in anita stories i can say without doubt my favorite character is Jean-Claude followed by Jason here in Merry adventure i like them all very much and i totally adore Doyle, Frost, Sholto and Kitto.
i would suggest to anyone who loves gothic and fairies books, and to all girls in general to read this saga because i'm sure they're going to like it.
