The book contains contemporary life as if mixed up in cauldron, faces and events are mixed in short paragraphs that push the boundaries between poetry and prose. A story tied up together by a thin web of recurrent motives, death and homicides, writers and literature experts, as well as psychiatric hospitals and madness, love and abandonment. The world as seen by an imaginary poet as a collection of memories from the year 2666.

  • I finished reading Part 1 of 2666 and found it a very engrossing beginning to an epic tale. Highly recommended based on this portion of the work.

This part follows several professors in search of an enigmatic author whom they believe resides in Mexico.
