84, Charing Cross Rd is absolutely delightful. you read it in a heartbeat and wish it would never end...alas!, it is shorter than you had imagined and it soon leaves you desperate for more. but then you turn the page, and stumble upon The Duchess of Bloomsbury Street, HH's account of her coveted first visit to London, and you are most thankful to her for having kept a diary.
a gem not to be missed.
