This book is composed of 97 two-page articles about varied topics in programming written by individual contributors. They have been chosen among many others from the original wiki (http://programmer.97things.oreilly.com/)
The contributions are very irregular. Some are very introductory, and some others are very advanced. Also, the length of each contribution is too short to cover a topic with some depth. Sometimes a contribution contradicts another one.
My impression is that the book results in a cacophony of opinions. Although some benefit may be obtained from the book, it may not compensate the time invested in its reading.

每兩頁說一個建議，或是一個小故事，有時可以看到作者的抱怨。如果對於有共鳴的部份深究的話，應該也會有不少收獲。
有些特別適用於企業專案，一些關於C/C++，也有的在談 API 開發。我也覺得這像是個普查，不只一個人提到 unit test，或是 know your tools 顯示這些事有其重要性。
我最喜歡的小故事是 Learn to Say, "Hello, World"，有種禪意。然後是 A Message to the Future，很溫馨
