I love Marlowe's tragedies, his larger-than-life personality, his perplexing story. Apparently, Burgess did too, and wrote a charming book in a rich, spell-binding language. Kit comes very much alive, very much infuriating and very much endearing. But look out for his dialogue with God in Rheims Cat ... (continue)
