In Victorian England, Liberty Lane receives word that her father was killed in a duel in France. She knows that her father hates duels and risks her life to find out who murdered him. She follows the orders of a mysterious man to solve the crime traveling with the last gift from her father, a racehorse with a cat companion.
I'm really picky about reading "cozy mysteries" so I really didn't think I was going to enjoy this book but I was wrong. I loved the Victorian setting and the characters where interesting enough to keep me reading. The mystery itself was a bit convoluted but the adventure behind it was fun.
