The writing style is not the same as all his other books. C.S. Lewis reflects his experience after losing his wife to cancer (?). In this book you will not find the intellect his used to be; Instead, you will find a wounded man struggling to live on. There are many "reflections" he mentioned that were very interesting, especially if you are the same (personality) type of person as he was.
