I was hesitant on this one - knew it would be rather explicit. And I'm rather embarrassed to admit that I actually enjoyed it. It was definitely more explicit than I normally read, but so imaginative! A whole world of fairies and goblins and all manner of magical beings, yet still takes place in modern-day USA. Princess Meredith has been hiding in LA - now she's been found and her aunt, the Queen, has plans for her. Good or bad plans, and will her enemies let her survive to find out?

    • Non si abbandonano i libri. Ma quando è troppo, è troppo! Cerca di essere erotico senza riuscirci, troppo preoccupato di spiegare tutto fin dalla prima riga. Abbandonato a pag. 98 (400 e qualcosa pag in tot)

The Anita Blake series has, on my opinion, long ago jumped the shark, but the Merry Gentry's has not.
Here, in this first book of the series every faerie lover will find a dark, intriguing and very unseelie story, full of beautiful characters and a setting very well pictured.

Book Description

“My name is Meredith Gentry, but of course it’s not my real name. I dare not even whisper my true name after dark for fear that one hushed word will travel over the night winds to the soft ear of my aunt, the Queen of the Air and Darkness. She wants me dead. I don’t even know why.”

Meredith Gentry, Princess of the high court of Faerie, is posing as a human in Los Angeles, living as a P.I. specializing in supernatural crime. But now the Queen’s assassin has been dispatched to fetch her back–whether she likes it or not. Suddenly Meredith finds herself a pawn in her dreaded aunt’s plans. The job that awaits her: enjoy the constant company of the most beautiful immortal men in the world. The reward: the crown–and the opportunity to continue to live. The penalty for failure: death.
