  • One of the best

    I love Kay's writing anyway, but Arbonne is what I consider his cornerstone work. It's the book by which I judge his other works and, if fact, other writers too. Good enough that I bought a copy and sent it half way around the world to a friend for Christmas!

  • Rough start, but I eventually got into it. Very "King Arthur" like - would-be king fights to save his country. Beautiful princesses, goddess-worshipping priestesses, sword fights, blood, love… little bit of everything.

GGK just keeps getting better and better. Tigana and The Lions Al-Rassan are two of my favorite fantasy novels. He's a master, and defintely worth reading.
