Basically although I enjoyed this I did not find it as compelling as the two previous titles(The Pilots Wife and Light on Snow)that I have read by Anita Shreve. The idea of compacting the storyline into the 48hr reunion somehow did not work for me. I could not understand why the parallel storyline was introduced, or did I completely miss the point? It helped me understand the character Agnes a little more but that was all. The story does actually make one think about the actions that one takes, or does not as the case may be and the devastating consequences they can have on one's life.
