A classic. And not just for kids, I read it again when I was 18, and most appreciated it.

Such a major classic! At first, I was a bit surprized by the pace of the book because everything was told so fast! 記得讀宗教哲學時，有篇reading是Lewis寫的。再看看他的其他作品，原來Alice's Adventures in Wonderland也是他寫的。
Alice's Adventures in Wonderland確實是一本好好的童蒙書籍，在Alice夢的奇遇中穿插了不少值得學習的東西，如概念的指謂、邏輯、數學。
1. 概念的指謂

Alice's Adventures in Wonderland確實是一本好好的童蒙書籍，在Alice夢的奇遇中穿插了不少值得學習的東西，如概念的指謂、邏輯、數學。
1. 概念的指謂
對於什麼是自我，本書也有提出。A一會兒喝這個，一會兒喝那個，變大又變小，她就有疑問，這個還是我嗎？當她的頸變了很長時，有隻白鴿說她是蛇，她說不是，白鴿問她是什麼？她也很愕然。她有覺得判斷自我或未必靠身體，或許是記憶，於是她試試背背課文，看看記不記得，從而證明現在的我與以前的我是同一，可是，她有些地方背錯了，有些背不出。對於現在的我與過去的我是否同一？我的概念為何？她嘗試釐清，但仍得不到答案。
賣帽的人與國王的對話對「我的」的意思也作概念的釐清。國王叫賣帽的人「除下你的帽」，賣帽的人說「這帽不是我的」，國王說「則這是偷回來的」(當然，這也犯了不充份的謬誤)，賣帽者說「我既是賣帽的，則沒有一帽子是自己，這些帽只是暫存於我處，待會就賣給別人」。很明顯，大家對何謂「我的」解釋不一，有必要有概念的釐清。
國王與劊子手的對話，也可見大家對「斬頭」的概念有所不同。王后下令要斬那貓的頭，而那貓是只有像頭的東西，上有眼耳口鼻而沒有身子。劊子手覺得不能斬貓的頭，因為所謂斬頭就是要把頭與身子的連接處斬開，那貓跟本沒有身子，故不能由此而知何謂頭，更沒有頭與身子的連接處可供斬開。但國王認為有頭便可斬頭，可見他認為斬頭是指斬在那有眼耳口鼻的東西上，這與劊子手理解的斬頭概念並不相同。
從此故事中，對我們日常所用的概念，其實也要小心釐清。
2. 邏輯
貓以Modus Tollens推論自己是瘋子。
狗不是瘋子，因此，狗生氣就狂吠，高興就搖尾巴。
但貓非生氣就狂吠，高興就搖尾，反之是生氣就搖尾，高興就狂吠。因此，貓並非不是瘋子，即貓是瘋子。
3. 數學
某某(不記得是誰)叫A多喝些茶，A說跟本沒有喝過，又如何多喝？某某就說既然什麼都沒喝，則多喝點已是喝了很多了。這是真的，因為任何多於0的數字相對於0來說，也是無限大的了。
這實是一本好好的童蒙書籍。
