Good and Glad
Well-written - and an up-to-date, excellent translation. I suspect a realistic - and often graphic depiction of the life of a First World War soldier. My favourite bit, Paul being caught in no man's land on a reconnaissance mission and having to play dead in a crater whilst an enemy attack goes on a ... (continue)
