  Goes from good to boring

  I can't even remember the name of the main character. For some reason Steve Martin thinks she is smart and sexy and ruthless and ... ?

  She is ambitious, the "crime" she commits look kind od ridiculous. Not just to me (Italian) but also to a friend of mine (English).

  Hm, seems like this book was just an excuse for Steve Martin to wank on about art. The narrator in particular was a completely unnecessary character.

  I was really disappointed by this book as I thoroughly enjoyed Shopgirl.
