While the dialogue might work in a Hitchhiker's radio play, the motivations are always new and unfamiliar. Most of what happens with Ford, Arthur, Trillian, and Random is not very interesting. A nice "in the middle"!
Started really well, but in the middle the main characters almost disappear and the overall pace of the story loses something.
