    How comes a book like this has all the quoting in italian wrong? not enough money for a professional translator?
    I used to live close to the Vatican, everybody in Rome knows about passetto and many other "surprises" Dan Brown is trying to sell...american friends, visit the city and buy a good giude, but please forget about this book!

    Avviso: NON leggete questo libro nell'originale inglese!! A meno non vogliate morire dal ridere, con le gustose perle disseminate qua e là in un italiano esilarante... Non ho capito se Dan Brown ha usato Google Traduttore o se si è proprio inventato parole e frasi. Il risultato è comunque spassosissimo! Un altro commento qui ricordava alcune pietre miliari come "Spazzare di cappella" , "Hanno conosciuto l'uomo?" , o lo spagnoleggiante "E' chiusa temprano", ma ce ne sono tante altre... E chi ci tiene a sbandierare la veridicità dei riferimenti geografico-storico-artistico-t eologici del suo romanzo, farebbe bene a controllare almeno sul dizionario di italiano le frasi che scrive! Detto questo, comunque, il romanzo è un'accozzaglia di non sense: troppi per un romanzo che vorrebbe essere basato, appunto, sulla storia. Dimenticabilissimo.

    Until page 500, it could be even readble..then totally bad...Still is well written,a good plot but the italian is totally wrong and...come on..falling from an elicopter? surviving an atomic explosion?
