Bruce's book is really good and I ended up reading various chapters of it and then use it as a reference. I think I have the 1st edition (my cover is in blue).
Few years ago, I started reading Bruce's monthly security email/blog, he is very insightful.

And last year I came to know a friend (Austin) who personally knows Bruce because of Austin's security work. Now Austin also personally know Whitfield Diffie. How cool is that!
