  • this is really an exceptional piece of literature, that i'll have to read again to fully understand. maybe even a couple more times. so complex, so gripping, so thought out and amazingly written... amazing.

    only 4 stars though because i read it at a pretty bad time... this is definitely not the book to read if you are at all depressed or upset. it will just make it worse. even if you're happy, it'll be a downer. that doesn't make it a bad book in any way (some would argue it makes it even better), just that it's not a universal "awesome!". so 4.

    [edit] actually i changed my mind. because even though i know i'll probably have a mental breakdown if i read it again so soon, i STILL want to (won't, though). as soul crushing as it is, it's still an incredibly good book. 5 stars.
