    An important book as it shows that there is still a lot of interest on the topic of Autotools; on the other hand, it sides a bit too much with the current maintainers of the software, and their political agenda, for my liking.

    It's a perfect reference to keep around; I wouldn't count on it to train people to write better autotools by itself though, and I've been working in this narrow area for the past seven years.
