    Notte d'Oscar

    direttamente da una passione adolescenziale, mai spenta, in questa notte di Oscar.
    un omaggio a uno dei più malamente citati e brutalmente saccheggiati.
    temo persino dalla signora Gina Peru.

    Yet each man kills the thing he loves,
    By each let this be heard,
    Some do it with a bitter look,

    Yet each man kills the thing he loves,

    Some do it with a bitter look,
    Some with a flattering word,
    The coward does it with a kiss,
    The brave man with a sword!

    Yet each man kills the thing he loves,
    By each let this be heard,
    Some do it with a bitter look,
    Some with a flattering word,
    The coward does it with a kiss,
    The brave man with a sword!

    Some kill their love when they are young,
    And some when they are old;
    Some strangle with the hands of Lust,
    Some with the hands of Gold:
    The kindest use a knife, because
    The dead so soon grow cold.

    Some love too little, some too long,
    Some sell, and others buy;
    Some do the deed with many tears,
    And some without a sigh:
    For each man kills the thing he loves,
    Yet each man does not die.

  • [...] "And the wild regrets, and the bloody sweats. None knew so well as I: for he who lives more lives than one...more deaths than one, must die."

  • Ballata sulla prigionia a Reading. Ritmica stupenda (d'altronde era il maestro dello stile, come Petronio ai suoi tempi). "Each man kills the thing he loves, by each let this be heard... the cowards do it with a kiss, the brave men with a sword". Stupenda.

  • La poesia sulla propria carcerazione... è bellissimo da qualsiasi punto di vista... un maestro dello stile! Each man kills the thing he loves by each let this be heard [...] the coward do it with a kiss the brave man with a sword
