Not nearly as good as some of his later books. Most of the stories weren't that funny and seemed a lot more gay than his other books. I quite enjoyed this book, and found myself chuckling out loud on several occasions. The book is a collection of stories and essays by American humorist David Sedaris.
The title story, "Barrel Fever," is a rather dismal story about an alcoholic, but most of the book is either laugh out loud funny or quite amusing. I'll be reading more of the work of David Sedaris.
