Il miglior Eco

Prendete un illustre professore,probabilmente il miglior medioevalista del pianeta,che esprime in ogni parola , in ogni personaggio,in ogni sua vicenda i colori chiaroscuri della cultura,niente di casuale,non una parola che non sia frutto di sapienza e di passione,avrete Umberto Eco. Prendete un illustre professore,probabilmente il miglior medioevalista del pianeta,che esprime in ogni parola , in ogni personaggio,in ogni sua vicenda i colori chiaroscuri della cultura,niente di casuale,non una parola che non sia frutto di sapienza e di passione,avrete Umberto Eco. Adesso immaginatevi la miglior creatura che possa scaturire dall’immensa mente di questo scrittore,e avrete Baudolino della Fraschetta,uomo nato nella nebbia con la capacità di vedere oltre,lontanissimo. Adesso avete Il padre ed il figlio,il frutto è un opera scorrevole,coinvolgente,appassionante,mai noiosa,divertente,dove vivrete il pulsare frenetico della storia in ogni frase,in ogni vicenda. Diverrete,da semplici contadinotti della pianura Piemontese,figliocci del sacro romano imperatore Federico il Barbarossa,con lui assedierete città,amerete sua moglie,studierete a Parigi tra inesauribili biblioteche e notti brave,influenzerete la politica europea,intraprenderete crociate,viaggi infiniti verso regni fantastici abitati da creature leggendarie,alla ricerca eterna di simboli mitici. Perché Baudolino ha compreso che l’uomo ha bisogno di avere una missione,di intraprendere un’ardua ricerca,l’obbiettivo non è trovare un’oggetto sacro o un luogo fantastico,questo rende lecito anche la menzogna,la manipolazione della storia,perché il traguardo è il più nobile degli obbiettivi,ritrovare se stessi nell’eterna ricerca della verità. Questo splendido romanzo lo consiglierei anche a chi non ama Eco e i romanzi storici,perché per una volta l’immenso nonno Umberto toglie gli abiti dell’insigne divulgatore,e veste quelli dell’intrattenitore,senza essere banale e restando sempre ricchissimo di contenuti. Baudolino dice:”non sempre i grandi poeti sono diarroici,talora sono stitici,e sono i più grandi…”,peccato allora,signor Eco,che lei sia il più grande!!!

The former probably because, while it was speaking of 12th century Italy, still holds true today. The latter because it holds close to what I think about position and power. There is very little separating many powerful people in the world from many vagabond existances, save circumstance.
