  I wonder why one should bother writing a book which is the exact copy of another one.
  I haven't read the "Beauty and the beast" book, but I know the Disney Movie.

  Actually, I was reading another book before this but I felt that I need to find some excitement, something with humor, something that will tickle my imagination. So I looked for another book that I haven't read before. Then I found Beastly. I have already expected that it will be another version of the fairytale, Beauty and the Beast. Modernized, perhaps. As I was reading the first few pages, I can't help but laugh at the humor instilled in the story and I was amazed by how the story turned out. The humor and the flow of the story was consistent from the first page towards the last. I was totally in awe. The modern portrayal of the characters and the twist was really, really good. New perspectives of the fairytale was also shown to us by the author. I love how she was inspired by the different versions of the fairytale and incorporated it in this novel. When it comes to the characters, I am in love with Kyle's character. While reading the book, I can really picture him as a very handsome and almost perfect guy. Despite the fact that he became beast in the story, he is still handsome for me because of his romantic deeds. I am head over heels for his character. Wishing a guy like that still exists and Linda's very lucky to have him. Anyway, I can also relate to Linda because I love reading books that's why ever since I was am kid, it is my dream to have a library like Beast's (Disney). I also love the extra tidbits of some characters from other fairytales. It is makes it more entertaining and funny because of that. Another is I love how the readers can learn something from this book. I think that is one of the important elements of a good book when it helps the readers realize or ponder about something. Overall, it is a must read book and one should not miss. I will assure you that ypu will enjoy reading it. And I can't wait for its movie to come out this March 2011!

  beastly

  a modern beauty and the beast story. i loved how the characters were described. can't wait to see the rose garden in the movie, hoping the director meets with my imagination.hehe. a feel-good book.
