"Belong to me" is a pleasant novel. It's about different lives coming together and interlacing themselves in unexpected ways, on the background of a quiet small village in the outskirts of Philadelphia. Nice portraits of very different personalities: I like the way Marisa is able to adapt his language and register in the multiform way. That gives you the impression that each chapter is really happening inside on one of the characters' head. Impressive! In this I find it similar to Picoult. There's color and there's music in this words, and even if maybe it's a bit too 'optimistic'.... why bother? :)

  • I really loved the individual stories in this book. The author has a very "real" way of writing that just makes you love the characters. I will be reading more.
