On 12 famous Greeks by biographer Ploutarchos, who was already famous in his lifetime. He used over 500 sources and quotes often contradiction authors, before adding his own opinion.

Read about Dionysios, Dion and Plato (and about virtue and justice) and what Fokion and Socrates have in common (and how sorry the Greek were after-the-fact). Also about Alexander’s note to Aristotle, asking him not to publish more work, as it makes it harder for him to stand out in knowledge, and how he gave Porros a royal treatment, after he was defeated by Alexander. The last chapter had to be about Filopoimen, the last of the –great- Greeks.
