    Ian Rankin (almost) never disappoints me.
    In this one, his DI Rebus ends up working between Aberdeen and an oil rig on the Shetlands while being grilled at home for something he had been involved in as a much younger man.

    Seems like Rankin enjoys making his main character fall as deep as possible to see how he makes his way back up.

    I've read it before in italian (Morte Grezza) and I've liked it. After I've reading it once more I appreciate more, maybe because I knew more about the previous stories. All the same one of the best Rebus' which I've read.
