While reading the first two books of Goodkind, my opinion of his writing ranged from so-so to "What the...." due to the same of the strange techniques he uses. Then I finished this book which is surprisingly one of the faster paced fantasy novels I have ever read. The last 100 pages tied in all the sub-plots and the book concluded with an amazing epic battle scene. I have heard the series gets long and drawn out but this was an excellent book.
