read it on my day off, in between Survivor-boiling. just a typical chick lit, with the typical unattractive protaganist who ends up with the typical great guy, and the typical gay best friend who's always around for fashion and relationship advice. what's not typical is the focus on friendship, which is regrettably rather feeble. as with most chick lits it was an easy and enjoyable read, but not particularly memorable, and paled in comparison to many other chick lits in that the dialogue wasn't witty, and nothing in the book managed to strike a chord in me (a typical sucker for chick lit and girl talk).
